Why We Exist
This is Aubin.
She is why.
In December 2020, Taylor Lentz learned her 2-year-old daughter Aubin had cystic fibrosis. Taylor had spent years caring for CF patients as a nurse in Charleston. Suddenly she was caring for one at home.
Aubin has taken over 13,000 enzyme pills and received more than 1,200 doses of Trikafta, a CFTR modulator that costs $300,000 per patient per year. It has helped enormously. But it is not a cure.
Taylor hosted a Halloween party at Holy City Brewery. The Charleston community showed up. Over $60,000 raised. CF Bites was born.

The best night in Charleston for the best reason. Great food, great people, and a real difference made together for cystic fibrosis research.
I had cared for these patients for years. I knew what the future could look like. I wasn’t going to let that be Aubin’s story.
